The JEE (Advanced) 2018 will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018. The entire JEE (Advanced) 2018 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode.
JEE Office at IIT Roorkee was started in September 2001 after University of Roorkee (UOR) got transformed into Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR). The transition was smooth as the setup of Roorkee Entrance Examination (REE) at UOR was used for this purpose. REE was an All India examination and the experience gained by the institute in the conduct of REE came as a boon in the conduct of JEE examination through JEE Office at IITR. JEE office is well equipped with the required infrastructure like staff, computing and printing facilities, office space, strong room, global connectivity and in-house server. JEE office has handled conduct of examination for 65,000 candidates in the past. Since 2012, JEE office has been changed to JEE (Advanced) office. JEE (Advanced) office is looking after the conduct of examination across geographical spaces like Punjab, Part of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh. The office is located at the back of Main Building and in front of Electrical Engineering Department.
